While I’m sure that many of you have had fond memories of playing games this summer and taking a well-deserved break from school or work, the end of summer is upon us and the seasons are changing again. While this may be disappointing for some, luckily many great games are going to be released this fall/winter. Let’s get over the bummer that is the end of summer by talking about the best upcoming releases.
Nintendo’s biggest fighting game is back! In Smash Bros. you can battle as your favorite Nintendo character in multiplayer matches of up to 4 players or go solo & play in single player mode. Smash Bros. has long been considered one of the best “party games”and is a blast to play with friends.
Many have beenoverjoyed to hear that Rockstar have announced Read Dead Redemption 2 earlierthis year. Just like its predecessor, you play as a cowboy roaming the wildwest. You’ll be forced to make complex decisions, get into gunfights and on occasion,steal horses.
Despite the fan blow-back regarding historical accuracy, the game play looks amazing. Battlefield V puts you straight into fast paced World War 2 action. There is a single player mode, comprised of “War Stories” a full-length campaign, a co-op mode,and of course the multiplayer madness Battlefield has always been known for.
An intense horror-survival game with a story you’ll keep in mind for a long time, The Last of Us 2 is expected to deliver a unique experience. It is set 5 years after the events of the original and continues the story of Ellie in a post-apocalyptic zombie ridden dystopia.
Mega Man has been entertaining gamers since 1987. The 11th chapter in the saga offers the same style of game play we are all familiar with. The fast-paced action platforming looks better than ever with 2.5D graphics and additional features such as time trials and global leaderboards.
